As part of the photography course, a professional sensor cleaning service for DSLR and mirrorless cameras is offered as an optional add-on. The camera's image sensor is carefully and professionally cleaned of dust and dirt particles that can accumulate inside the camera body over time, leading to visible spots on photos—especially noticeable in bright areas or at small apertures.
Sensor contamination and cleaning are also covered both theoretically and practically during the course. Participants learn how to identify sensor spots, understand when cleaning is necessary, and discover how to prevent sensor contamination in practice—a fascinating and hands-on insight into camera maintenance.
Many beginners feel uneasy about sensor cleaning. The fear of damaging the sensitive sensor is widespread—and not unfounded. Attempting to clean the sensor without experience and using improper tools can lead to scratches or electronic damage.
Therefore, it's advisable to have the cleaning performed by an experienced professional. Many course participants have never had their camera cleaned since purchase.
